Comprised of Municipalities of Baungon, Cabanglasan, Damulog, Dangcagan, Don Carlos, Impasug-ong, Kadindilan, Kalilangan, Kibawe, Kitaotao, Lantapan, Libona, Malitbog, Manol, Fortich, Maramag, Pangantucan, Quezon, San Fernando, Sumilao, Talakag, Valencia and the City of Malaybalay.The district is located in the Province of Bukidnon, a landlocked province in Northern Mindanao. It occupies the extensive plateau in Central Mindanao that is bounded on the north and east by Misamis Oriental, on the east by Agusan Province; on the south and southeast by Davao province; and on the southwest and west by Lanao and Cotabato Provinces. It is composed of twenty-one (21) Municipalities and one component city. It consists of four hundred sixty four (464) barangays, with a land area of 8,293,780 sq. kilometers. It has a total population of around 1,040,000 people. Malaybalay City, the capital, is where the District Office is located, 91 kilometers from Cagayan de Oro Cty. Bukidnon is politically subdivided into 3 Congressional Districts. The 1st district 7 municipalities of North Bukidnon, namely: Manolo, Fortich, Libona, Baungon, Talakag, Malitbog, Pangantucan and Kalilangan. The 2nd district is ocmposed of 7 municipalities of Central Bukidnon, namely: Malaybalay City, Valencia, Lantapan, Impasug-ong, Sumilao, Cabanglasan and San Fernando, while the 3rd district comprised of 8 municipalities of South Bukidnon, namely: Maramag, Don Carlos, Kadingilan, Kitaotao, Dangcagan, kibawe,Damulog and Quezon,Bukidnon.
