Area of Jurisdiction:

The Lanao del Norte is located in the Northern Mindanao area along the northern - western coast. The province is bounded on the north by Iligan Bay and the Province of Misamis Oriental on the west. On the south is the province of Lanao del Sur. Panguil Bay borders at the west and the boundary of Zamboanga del Sur. The province is within Region 12 area. It is comprised of 22 Municipalities, namely; Municipalities of Linamon, Kauswagan, Bacolod, Maqigo, Kolambugan, Tubod, Magsaysay, Baroy, Lala, Kapatagan, Nunungan, Sapad, Munai, Poonapiagapo, Tangcal, Balo-I, Tagoloan, Salvador, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Pantar, Matuangao and Pantao Ragat. Iligan City is strategically located in the northern coast of Mindanao which faces Iligan Bay. The City is bounded on the south by the towns of Linamon and Baloi, both of Lanao del Norte; on the north by Misamis Oriental's municipality of Lugait; and on the east by territories of Lanao del Sur and Bukidnon provinces; and on the west by Iligan Bay.The District shall be comprised of 44 barangays namely; Barangays Abuno, Acmac, Bagong Silang, Bonbonon, Buanwan, Buru-un, Dalipuga, Del Carmen, Digkilaan, Ditucalan, Dulag, Hinaplanon, Hindang, Kabacsanan, Kalilangan, Kiwalan, Lanipao, Luinab, Mahayahay, Mainit, Mandulog, Ma. Cristina, Pala-o, Panoroganan, Poblacion, Puga-an, Rogongon, San Miguel, San Roque, Santiago, Saray- Tibanga, Sta. Elena, Sta. Filomena, Sto. Rosario, Suarez, Tambacan, Tibanga, Tipanoy, Tomas Cabili, Tubod, Ubaldo D. Laya, Upper Hinaplanon, Upper Tominobo and Barangay Villaverde.
